The first British astronaut to go into
space has landed back on Earth and
will be reunited with his family after
six months away.
Tim Peake departed in the Soyuz
capsule with two crewmates and
has now touched down on the
Kazakhastan steppe after its four-
hour descent.
On the way down, he and his two
crewmates endured a terrifying
journey, the ship rapidly slowing
from 17,398 mph to 514mph as it
entered the atmosphere. But they
were able to capture some stunning
images of earth. See their photos
